Evangelion Units
Evangelions, the Multipurpose Humanoid Fighting Machines, are 40 meters tall artificial beings created as human kinds ultimate weapon agaisnt the Angels. In order to defeat the attack from the Angels, NERV has consumed enormous funds from G7 Countries and other advanced countries to do all kinds of research and create Evangelions during the last 14 years. Evangelions function through a Cerebral Nerve link with their pilots. This is located in the red "core" of the Evangelion. Normally, they obtain their external power through an umbilical cable. When necessary, they can choose either to run on an internal battery, or external dry cells.
