History of EVA-ALPHA Production Model EVA-ALPHA was the sixth Evangelion to be secretly created after the success of EVA-00. The process of manufacturing EVA-ALPHA was a top secret of SEELE and NERV because this EVA was in fact a living specimen of the first Angel, Adam. For some strange reason, Adam of the Red Earth had become reborn in the form of an Evangelion. The Techniques of EVA-ALPHA Production Model The techniques of manufacturing EVA-ALPHA were much more advanced than the previous series of EVAs, even more than those in creating EVA-02. Therefore, this is EVA was more stable, had better overall performance, and did not easily go berserk. Like EVA-02, it used voice recognition to startup and operate. One unique feature that the ALPHA unit was fitted with was the Progressive Sword. Essentially just a longer version of the Progressive Knife, it provided the EVA with a larger attack redius when in close combat. A popular theory was that the first Angel's soul somehow transferred itself into EVA's core during construction.
