History of EVA-BETA Production Model
EVA-BETA was the second Series II model Evangelion to be designed by NERV and manufactured at the installation base in Canada. Since the manufacturing time of EVA-BETA and EVA-ALPHA was very close to each other, both EVAs had the same basic components and weapons fitted.

The Techniques of EVA-BETA Production Model
The techniques behind manufacturing EVA-BETA were much more advanced than those that were used in putting together the older models, with this the methods behind construction being almost identical to those used in assembling EVA-ALPHA. However, seeing that this EVA was never used for its intended purpose of combating the Angels, not much else was made known about it.

More About EVA-BETA Production Model
At first, it was believed that Adam, the first Angel, had become reborn inside of EVA-BETA's body. However, this turned out to be a mistake, as Adam had chosen EVA-ALPHA as its host instead. Therefore, to keep the beast inside of EVA-BETA under control, there were a lot of unique functions that were added into EVA-BETA before they were implemented into EVA-ALPHA. To keep Adam's incarnate under surveilance, NERV crucified EVA-BETA on a giant blue cross that was present under Terminal Dogma.
