History of EVA-04 Production Model EVA-04 was the second last Production Model Evangelion to be manufactured and assembled in America. Unlike EVA-03, this one was built at the NERV-2 in Nevada. The main difference between EVA-04 and EVA-03 was that this EVA was created for the development and analysis of the S2 Engine and Dummy Plug. The disappearance and return of EVA-04 The S2 Engine, which was believed to have been taken directly from the forth Angel, was been transplanted into EVA-04. When the Eva's S2 Engine was activated, NERV-2 and EVA-04 suddenly vanish in the blink of an eye. According to the readout data, it seemed as if they were sucked into a "Dirac Sea", also known as a different universe. Only some months later did the Evangelion mysteriously return. No information was found to explain this phenomena. More About EVA-04 Production Model The only things that were known about EVA-04 before its disappearance was that its body was very similar to that of the Mass Production Model Evaneglions. Also, it seemed that the fouth Angel's psyche was present in the Eva's core, most likely a direct result of the S2 organ that was transplanted into its body.
